February 2nd

Don’t hide FROM God, hide IN God. Whatever it is that you find yourself wanting to hide, -that thing that you regret, that hurt that you are afraid to acknowledge, that shame, that burden you are still carrying, that unforgiveness, that disappointment, even that anger at God…Hide it IN Him. You can’t hide it FROM Him, you can’t hide anything from Him, so why not resolve to hide it in Him.

Jeremiah 16:17 My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from me, nor is their sin concealed from my eyes.

Psalm 32:5-7 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin. Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them. You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

You can keep wrestling with it, pretend it isn’t a big deal, pretend that you are successfully ignoring it, -OR, you can once and for all acknowledge it before God and let Him have it, -Leave it right there in His hands. Hide it in Him.

Why not make 2026 the year you really walk in freedom. The Holy Spirit is urging you to surrender that to Him. Why? Because He LOVES you! He wants you to experience true freedom, forgiveness and boundless love! Don’t worry, He can handle it, even if it is you being mad at Him over something or disappointed in the outcome of something that you think He should have fixed. Don’t worry, His grace is sufficient, His love is big enough and deep enough, He can handle it. And the truth is…He WANTS to handle it! It breaks His heart that you have carried this alone all this time, He wants to take that burden from you.

As you read these verses, don’t gloss over them, let them sink in and bring that deep stuff bubbling to the surface so you can release it and hide it in Him.

1 Peter 5:7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Philippians 4:6-7 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.

Jesus, Thank you that you hide me in the shadow of your wings and keep me as the apple of your eye. Thank you that everything that concerns me, concerns you more. Thank you for being big enough to handle when I am wrestling with disappointment with things that I wish you had fixed. Help me to be honest and open with you, you know everything anyway, help me to remember that and hide those things in you instead of trying to hide them from you or carry them myself. Help me to surrender those things. Thank you for your love that is bigger than anything. Thank you for your understanding, mercy and grace and for your love that covers everything and holds me close. Thank you for singing over me.
