DAY 70

We are nearing the end of Revelation and there has been an awful lot of details. Some beyond our imagination. We have read about angels, horses, seals, trumpets, bowls, beasts, false prophets, a dragon, disasters and judgements, an abyss, a lake of fire, a New Heaven, New Earth and New Jerusalem, elders, martyrs, all kinds of precious stones/jewels, gold, rainbows of colors, thunder and lightning, special numbers and even measurements of space and time. It can be overwhelming, especially when we are not learning what we actually think we need to know. So let’s break down what we do actually know and the things that really matter.

We are in the end times, but we don’t know where in that timeline.

We know Jesus will rapture His church, but we don’t know when.

We know we have to be ready for His return.

We know hard times/tribulation will come at some point whether we are here for it or not.

We know that God has a plan for the rest of time and it is written in a scroll that has been sealed.

We know that Jesus is the Lamb of God, slain for our redemption.

We know that the Lamb is the only one worthy to break the seals and open the scroll for God’s plan to finish.

We know that God’s wrath and judgement will be poured out on the earth in waves over and over again by His mercy and grace to allow people plenty of chances to turn to Him.

We know that some won’t ever repent.

We know that satan’s goal and plan is to take out the Lamb and since He can’t get to the Lamb directly, he will come after Christians.

We know that God will seal and protect His church from the second death.

We know that Jesus will return for a battle against satan and massive armies of the earth, but the battle is instantly over because He already won the battle at the cross.

We know that we will return with Him to witness this final victory.

We know that after that satan will be thrown into the lake of fire forever.

We know that those who do not repent or have their names in the Lamb’s Book of Life will also be thrown into the lake of fire.

We know that everyone will face judgement for what they have done.

We know that we the Church, are the bride of Christ and that there is going to be one heck of a Wedding in Heaven!

We know that we will dwell with God in the New Jerusalem.

We know that Heaven will be all about worshipping the Lamb!

We know that Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords.

We know that we have no reason to fear!

Revelation 1:17-18 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Revelation 17:14 They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”

Revelation 19:6 Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns.

Revelation 21:6-7 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.

Walk in these truths today and let them determine your outlook and perspective of everything you face.

Jesus, Lamb of God, Alpha and Omega, King of kings and Lord of lords, praise you for who you are, for your perfect plan and for your sacrifice for me. Thank you for showing me what I need to know in Revelation and help me to remember that the details I don’t understand are not what I should focus on each day. Help me to keep my eyes on you and remind me of these truths and promises from you. Thank you for your love and your plan.
