So maybe you have faith to believe for your salvation but you struggle with having faith for anything else in your everyday life? This may trace back to not feeling worthy or not believing that God loves you enough to want to be involved. Maybe believing for your salvation is easy because you understand it as a theological idea somewhere in a nonphysical world.

But it doesn’t make sense to believe for salvation and not for the rest. Think about it, He had to DIE for you to be saved. THAT is how much He loves you. Don’t you think that if He loved you enough to die for you that He loves you so much that He wants to be a part of your life?

Open the Bible and read the accounts of what God did in the everyday lives of those who followed Him. That is a real life account of what God did in the physical world. Need your faith bolstered? Read the Scriptures. The Bible has already been proven to be historically accurate (even though the world has tried hard to keep that hush hush.) So even if you set aside the resurrection because well, that was Jesus and He is the Son of God, you will still find hundreds (probably thousands) of accounts of God moving among His people in the physical realm. Here is a taste of some of them listed in Hebrews, you can look up the full accounts in the scriptures where they are written.

Hebrews 11:24,28-35 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel. By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned. By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days. By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient. And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. Women received back their dead, raised to life again.

If you can’t seem to see God moving in your life, pray and ask Him to open your eyes to His hand moving in your life. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you recognize His work. God’s fingerprints are all over your life, you just need to tune in to them. Be prepared to not necessarily see Him move the way you want Him to or the way you think He should. He is active and involved and if you surrender to His will you will see more and more of His work in you and your life.

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Can’t seem to recognize Him moving in your life? Spend some time seeking Him, -with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:12-13 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

God has much planned for you, you are no different than those followers in the Bible that saw His hand in their lives. They were ordinary people just like the disciples. The difference is that they believed God could and would move in their physical lives. You can too, give it a try.

Jesus, thank you for loving me enough to die for me and want to be involved with me every day. Help me to believe that you will move in me and in my life. Help me to recognize your fingerprints. Holy Spirit open my eyes to your moving and help me to stay surrendered to your will and plan. Help me to seek you with all of my heart. Thank you for your perfect love and perfect plan Jesus.
