May 15th

Not only can you take scriptures and personalize them for yourselves, but you can take verses and start praying them specifically for others. Want to see results?? Start praying God’s will through scripture over the lives of those in your life. You will see some transformation. Some of that transformation may take place in you, some will be in them.

The Word of God does not return void, it always accomplishes what God intends for it to accomplish.

Isaiah 55:11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Psalm 19:7-8 The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

His Word accomplishes more than we can understand. It teaches us and shapes our heart and mind. It accomplishes what God intends it to do. It refreshes us. It makes us wise and gives us joy. But also remember it is a weapon. Read all of Ephesians 6:10-20 but here are some highlights.

Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians 6:17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

This weapon is how we fight our battles against the true enemy. We can fight this battle for our families and friends and neighbors too. Ask the Lord to show you a verse to start praying for someone, He knows what they need prayed over them. Maybe this is why He tells us to pray for our enemies and those who spitefully use us. His Word always accomplishes what needs to be done in the spiritual realm.

For those in your life that don’t know Jesus yet, choose some verses to pray over them and watch what happens.

Jesus, thank you that I can count on your Word. Thank you that you have given me this tool to use. Help me to learn how to use it. Show me which verses to pray for others and help me to be diligent in doing that. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your plan and showing me what to do. Holy Spirit guide me in this journey. Train me for this battle. Thank you that you didn’t leave me to do this alone and give me wisdom please.

Psalm 18:30-34 As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
